Indeed, in the world of perfumery there are 4 types of products: Perfume, Eau de parfum, Eau de toilette and Eau de cologne. But what really makes them different?

The main difference between these 4 names is the amount of ingredients concentrated inside. Cologne has between 3% and 6% of pure perfume, Eau de toilette has between 5% and 15%, compared with 15% to 20% for Eau de parfum and 20% to 40% for Perfume

The Eau de Toilette will remain subtle and can last between 3 and 5 hours on the skin. It is often appreciated by people who want to perfume themselves in a light way or for example during an evening.

The eau de parfum lasts on average up to 6 hours, it makes a good compromise for people who are looking for a fragrance less concentrated than the perfume and that will last in time.

The perfume is subtly vaporized, it can last several consecutive hours on the skin without fading and has a powerful and assertive smell.

Generally, it is easier to opt for Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum because their duration on the skin is sufficient and their olfactory concentration is less dense than the perfume which can quickly become stubborn when poorly dosed. Eau de toilette is best for sensitive skin because its alcohol content is lower and will therefore, less likely to dry the skin. It is also very popular in summer for its sweet and light smell.

So you have understood that what distinguishes these 4 types of products is the concentration in perfume that will induce a more or less intense fragrance.

Depending on your expectations and desires, you can now choose between these 4 perfumery products!
